Before I tackle this question, it’s probably useful to say that on top of getting dudes in shape for a living, I’m also a dating coach. So, I have a lot of insight from coaching a range of body types (fat, thin, etc.) and helping men get good with girls.
I have personal experience being both overweight and extremely lean, and I have seen first hand how this affects my results with girls. In short: I noticed more girls checking me out when I was sub-15% body fat to 10% body fat. Below 10%, I stopped even caring about girls that much (sex drive diminished when I got super lean).

The short answer to the title of this blog post is: Yes, being in shape helps you get laid with girls, based on both my experience, accounts from other men, and also the science seems to point that way also.
What The Science Says:
Facial Attractiveness & Symmetry: Numerous studies point to a leaner face being more attractive. Lower body fat enhances your jawline, your cheekbones, and the overall symmetry of your face. Women are hardwired to notice these as physical signs of health and vitality. In other words if your facial features are more defined, you are more likely to get checked out by girls and be seen as facially attractive.

Physical Strength & Attraction: Appearing stronger (wider shoulders etc) insidcated more attractiveness to women. A study from Proceedings of the Royal Society B (2017) found that upper-body strength is one of the biggest predictors of male attractiveness. Appearance of physical strength signals attractiveness to women (Sell et al., 2017).
What You Can Do About It.
Calorie-Controlled Diet: To get and maintain a level of leanness, you’ve got to be in control of your nutrition. A calorie-controlled diet isn’t just about losing fat—it’s about shaping your face, your body, and your overall appearance. My free guide can get you started
Resistance Training (lifting weighs and callisthenics): If you want to build muscle and strength, weight training is essential. It’ll help to increase your metabolic rate, build muscle mass, and improve posture. Even something as simple as push ups and pul ups can increase your V-Taper, making your physique looking more silhouetted and visually appealing.
Take Sleep Quality and Stress Management Seriously: Improving both of these will help optimize testosterone and diminish the negative effects of the stress hormone cortisol, creating a more optimal hormonal environment to build muscle and maintain a leaner body composition.
My Coaching System, The ROI Method helps men optimise the markers I’ve mentioned. It’s all about making sure that the effort you can put in is paying off big time. Optimizing your return on investment.

P.S. If you’re wondering how I ended up doing dating coaching—long story short, I got married, got divorced, realized I was terrible with women, and then spent years figuring this part of my life out. Somewhere along the way, a guy named Alex Forrest invited me to coach on his course, and the rest is history. Now, I have my own YouTube channel, and I also help men optimize their online dating profiles (you can find out more about that by going to www.matchmaxxing.com).
Healthy Regards
